Brighton 1-1 Burnley: Jeff Hendrick strikes late to deny Seagulls rare home win

Brighton manager Graham Potter a Premier League home triumph as Burnley got a 1-1 draw in the Amex Stadium was denied by jeff Hendrick’s stoppage-time strike.
Neal Maupay appeared to have secured all three points for the Seagulls after he volleyed the hosts in front (51) on his 100th appearance in British football.

Sean Dyche:”It was a good end to a tough performance. We had been the better side and had been good. We created opportunities, and we asked sufficient questions but we weren’t clinical. They then changed to last season to a more familiar format, along with the game levelled out into half-time.
“From the second half, we didn’t get moving at all and they had been the better side. They moved in front but yet again the belief in our group was on display. The adjustments we made influenced the game.
“I don’t need to be overly critical on the players to the next half since it was the very first dip we’ve had in operation this season, so we come off with a good stage in the feeling that we weren’t at our best.”
Gross had been left from Potter’s beginning but as the primary creative spark of Brighton , the German assumed responsibilities once again in Leandro Trossard’s lack.
Gross made a stand-out performance filled with guile and energy. It was his pass which nearly led to Glen Murray’s opener just before the break and substitute Aaron Connolly had the opportunity to seal the points on from the Ingolstadt midfielder from a different piece of play.
