England batsman Ben Stokes states that the Sun paper’s front-page narrative about his household is»utterly disgusting» and also the»lowest type of humor».
The newspaper alleges that a number of his loved ones, based in New Zealand, had to cope with exactly what Stokes describes as»deeply traumatic and personal events».
Stokes, 28, who starred as England won the World Cup this summer, called the post»immoral and heartless».
The BBC has contacted the Sun to get a response.
In a declaration, Stokes explained the story concerned»events in the personal lives of my family, going back more than 31 years» and had»severe inaccuracies which has resisted the damage caused».
He also said:»The choice to publish these details has grave and lifelong consequences for my mother specifically.»
The Durham and England all-rounder added:»To use my title as an excuse to violate the solitude and private lives of – in particular – my parents would be completely disgusting.
«It is tough to locate words that adequately describe such low and despicable behaviour, disguised as fiction.
«I can’t conceive of anything more immoral, heartless or contemptuous to the feelings and conditions of my loved ones.»
Stokes produced the match-winning innings since England’s men won their very first Cricket World Cup at Lord’s in July prior to an incredible 135 out not in the third Ashes Test against Australia at Headingley last month saw England remain in contention at a series they finally drew 2-2.
He added:»I’m conscious that my public brings with it impacts for me personally that I accept entirely.

«On Saturday the Sun sent a’reporter’ for my parents’ house in New Zealand to question them, out of the blue, on this exceptionally disturbing subject. If that was not bad enough, then the Sun think it is acceptable to sensationalise our private tragedy to their page.
«That is the lowest type of journalism, concentrated only on pursuing sales with absolutely no respect to the devastation caused by lives as a consequence. It’s completely out of order»
