You have to have when you want to be a great coach. I really don’t believe you always need to punish or instil fear into players such as the old times.
Players want hope, they’re human beings and just in comfortable surroundings will you bring performances that are improved. We strive to make scenarios in which the players feel comfortable.
They know I protect in public will always back them, but in the dressing area we can be fair or have scenarios where we do not discuss anything and it is a monologue. That’s what you need to perform as a coach.
Every head coach and each has philosophy and their own thoughts. This club had a image of what I’d deliver, and that I know what Norwich City means. Because I convinced this bar is where I want to be I chose to sign here.
We had to create a new philosophy of the way to work and play and a turnaround and it was not easy. I really don’t believe in luck, I believe that’s what has paid off and is working hard.
