England squad fully aware of World Cup betting rules, says assistant coach Neal Hatley

The whole playing team and backroom staff of england have signed a document stating they understand the regulations anti-corruption of World Rugby and gambling.
The World Cup is currently reeling from the news that Wales assault coach Rob Howley has returned to respond for an alleged violation of the principles, specifically in relation to betting on rugby.
Along with each country World Rugby’s ethics unit gave England a comprehensive briefing on Wednesday.
A type has been passed and signed to document that they knew its contents.
“It could not be any clearer for us as a group. All the stipulations were set out very, very obviously,” assistant trainer Neal Hatley said.
“I was a tiny bit amazed about Rob, but it was made clear before we arrived and it had been made apparent on Monday. It is a warning for everybody at the tournament. A genuine live reminder.”

England were also told during the briefing on Monday that in the global showpiece four years back there have been six reports of suspicious approaches being made to staff or players.

Twelve months ago Ludlam was contemplating his options out of rugby as he worried that his professional career was slipping away as a result of injury but having been picked in an England squad for the first time in June, he was able to reestablish Jones in training and also on his debut from Wales to book his ticket into Japan.
“To be involved in something like this… you grow up watching this tournament and today you’re here. It’s just about making the most of it now,” the 23-year-old flanker said.
“It’s what you have been working towards as you’re a child, lacing up your boots and needing to be there.
“So I’m very grateful to have that opportunity. I’m grateful to the coaches and it’s only about doing them proud and proving them right and hopefully doing something.
“Plenty of people discuss Tonga being a very physical team but that is not all. They are dangerous, they’ve got a lot of players.
“We have reviewed them challenging, we have looked at it and now we have got a fantastic plan in place to turn them at the weekend”
