Postle at the Center of Stones Gambling Hall Cheating Allegations
Stones Gambling Hall in California declared that they were stopping their livestream and launching an evaluation following an uproar was caused by cheating allegations from the poker community.
The statement, made over Twitter Thursday, said that the casino hired attorney Michael Lipman to lead up the fraud analysis. Before entering private practice, Lipman was an assistant U.S. attorney chief of the Southern District of Californias fraud unit.
The analysis will concentrate on allegations that among those gamers was had access and managed to view other players hole cards. The allegations were denied by postle and proceeded to Mike Matusows podcast to defend himself.
In the podcast, Postle maintained the piles sizes submitted on the stream — that people used to calculate his winrate — are incorrect and that individuals did not understand his playstyle that was unique.
Absolutely, completely. 10,000 percentage, Postle explained when asked if he was naiveMay I move 100,000 percent?
The controversy began when poker player and a former Stones worker, Veronica Brill, requested streamer Joey Ingram and poker pro to start looking into Postles play. Nothing turned up, although brill guessed Postle of cheating and also said that her concerns were reported by her about Stones Gambling Hall.
Ingram started reviewing hours live on his display and found hands that he considered suspicious. Ingram published his findings on twitter and other TwoPlusTwo and Reddit users published their results on the internet and joined in on the analysis.
Sleuths came up with a date the adulterous began, July 18, 2018 and calculated Postles winnings. From the chart, Postles winrate was posted by them on the flow over Potripper graph.
Potripper was one of the super-user accounts in the Ultimate Bet and Total Poker cheating scandal from back in 2008. Poker sleuths broke that cheating scandal. TwoPlusTwo users analyzed thousands of palms and discovered that a number of account had access to some non invasiveGod-mode that allow the users state everyones hole cards.
Former World collection of Poker Main Event Champion Russ Hamilton has been implicated in the scandal and records released years allege to show Hamilton admitting to robbing players of millions of dollars.
ThatGod-mode is exactly what Ingram and others suspect Postle had in the Stones Gambling Hall. Live streams have special decks where every card has its own chip that is distinctive. That info is sent to the live flow booth where its converted into images and superimposed onto a video stream. This is done to prevent players from seeing cards and commentators accounts on the postponed flow.
The allegation is that Postle had access into the cards, that could have demanded help. The story gained so much traction that it was even featured on SportsCenter:
Pros like Daniel Negreanu, Doug Polk and Haralabos Voulgaris said they believed that Postle cheated. Postle was defended by chris Moneymaker, the 2003 World Series of Poker World Champion. Moneymaker had played on the flow and understands Postle, but after reviewing some of the hands in question, Moneymaker stated he was sure that he was naive.
