Britains Dina Asher-Smith underlined her standing as preferred for the 200m world title as she qualified for Wednesdays closing.
The 23-year-old planet 100m silver medallist won her semi-final in 22.16 seconds – the fastest time of the afternoon.
Her hopes of becoming the first British woman to win a world sprint name increased with the withdrawal of Olympic champion Elaine Thompson.
The final at Dohas Khalifa Stadium begins at 20:35 BST.
Beth Dobbin and compatriots Jodie Williams failed to make up for the closing.
Asher-Smiths time was a third of a second faster than the next fastest qualifier, USAs Brittany Brown. American champion Anglerne Annelus also qualified by winning her semi-final in 22.49.
The stars appear aligned together with the Thompson joining Dutch defending champion Dafne Schippers bronze medallist Marie-Josee Ta Lou and champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce one of the contenders to get pulled away of Jamaica. The Blessing Okagbare, who had run quicker than the Briton this year of nigeria, was disqualified in her warmth on Monday.

Olympic and world champion and world record holder Wayde van Niekerk failed to recover from a knee injury in time for the Championships.
In the womens 400m, Emily Diamond and Britons Laviai Nielsen dropped out to a place in Thursdays closing. Winner Miller-Uibo eased into the final and will be the outstanding favourite.
Both Western medallist Meghan Beesley and Jessica Turner qualified for the 400m hurdles semi-finals of Wednesday. The set finished third in their respective heats.
I have had a great two decades now, I am feeling strong today, Beesley told BBC Sport. I trust I can go out there tomorrow and step it up a bit.
Sydney McLaughlin and USA pair Dalilah Muhammad also progressed. Olympic winner Muhammad, 29, is the hot favorite having set a new world record – 52.20 seconds – at the federal trials.
Zak Seddon, the sole representative of Britain, finished seventh in his warmth and missed out to a place in Fridays final.
The USA surged in the medal table following three gold medals on day five, such as Noah Lyles victory in the mens 200m.
Success came from the mens pole vault prodigy Armand Duplantis and final, which proved to be a titanic tussle involving defending winner Sam Kendricks.
